- Although it is not required by state statute or county resolution that any specific form be required for an open records request, the Crawford County Clerk has published an open records request form for the ease of both the requesting party and the office of the Crawford County Clerk. We appreciate your cooperation in using the supplied form for open records requests made through Crawford County government.
- Open Records Brochure
- As required by K.S.A. 45-226 and Crawford County Resolution, "the Freedom of Information officer...shall...[p]repare and provide educational materials and information concerning the open records act." By policy of the of the office of the Crawford County Clerk the brochure published by the League of Kansas Municipalities and Kansas Association of Counties has been made available in both the Office of the Crawford County Clerk and online as a convenience to the citizens.
- K.S.A. 45-226
- Kansas Statute Annotated 45-226 requires that "[t]he governing body of every public agency in Kansas...designate a local freedom of information officer." As part of a service and convenience to the community, this statute has been added to help citizens to better understand the responsibilities of the Crawford County Clerk.
- County Resolution
- Crawford County Resolution 2000-152 designates the Crawford County Clerk as the Local Freedom of Information officer.
