“Serving Families Through Health Care”
Health and Family Services provides assistance to help individuals and families deal with questions about pregnancy, birth control, and reproduction they might not otherwise be able to obtain or afford. All services maintain your confidentiality and are provided without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, or economic status.
Fees for services through Health and Family Services are based on family size and income. Services will not be denied due to inability to pay.
Crawford County Health and Family Services is here to provide you with information about reproduction, parenting, methods of birth control, and assistance and timing of pregnancies.
Strictest care is taken to preserve the privacy of each patient of Health and Family Services. The atmosphere of Health and Family Services is caring and informal. The staff of friendly professionals will work with you as an individual, while maintaining your need for confidentiality.
The Health and Family Services health care programs are implemented by highly qualified staff. Staff members include physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. At Health and Family Services, the emphasis is on education to that through a better understanding of your body, you will be able to make informed decisions.

Birth Control
Professional staff members will thoroughly explain all methods of birth control, paying particular attention to your individual needs and preferences.
Clinical Exams
Health and Family Services is equipped to provide you with needed clinical services including annual health exams, pap smears, breast exams, infection checks, STD testing, birth control, and pregnancy tests. You will be treated with dignity and respect at all times and the confidentiality of your records is assured.
Colposcopy Clinics
Colposcope exams for evaluation of abnormal pap smears are provided by a licensed physician.
Pregnancy Testing
Health and Family Services provides pregnancy testing on an as needed basis. Appropriate referrals are made to community resources to aid in early prenatal care. Strictest confidentiality of the results of any testing is maintained.
FREE to Know
FREE to Know is a program for women 50 years of age and over that allows underinsured and/or uninsured to have annual breast screenings (mammogram and clinical breast exam) at no charge. It also allows women 40 years of age and over to have yearly cervical screenings (pap smear and pelvic examination) at no charge.
Telemed Conference Site
Consultants with a qualified child psychiatrist at Kansas University Medical Center can be arranged. Appointments for these services are made through Families and Children Together (FACT) at 620.232.3228.
HIV Clinics – HIV/AIDS Testing
Kansas University Medical Center staff provides primary care for individuals who have tested positive for HIV. HIV/AIDS testing is provided on a confidential or anonymous basis.
