2nd Annual Elks Student Government Day will be held April 9, 2008.

For students in Crawford County, April 9th will be a fun day of learning about how our local governent works thanks to Homer Cole and the Elks Lodge. This year, students will have a Q&A session with city and county officials, moderated by Howard Smith, Pittsburg State University legislative liaison. This promotes more interaction with students and therefore they will take more away from the experience because they are more involved in the process. They will be able to see their tax dollars at work. There will be scholarships handed out by the Elks, as well as gifts donated by the community which will be used as door prizes, gift bags, and prizes used as encouragement for students to ask questions.
